The deceased’s family told police that the accused had visited their home a few days earlier to collect a loan. However, they left empty-handed as the deceased did not have the money, claimed a media report.

“A firing incident was reported at PS Welcome at 11:28 pm today. On reaching the spot at Mr King Lounge and Café, Maujpur, one injured person, identified as Faizan @ Fazzi (24 years), son of Sehroj Alam, resident of JMC Welcome, was found. He was immediately shifted to GTB Hospital, where he was declared ‘brought dead’ by the attending doctors. The forensic team is collecting evidence from the spot,” said the Delhi Police.

Shot and Stabbed Multiple Times

The police identified the victim as Faizan. According to his brother, Faizan was shot at least three times—one bullet struck his head, while two others hit his chest. He was also stabbed, as indicated by several cuts on his hands, suggesting he struggled during the attack.

“My brother was shot three times. The police said that two magazine rounds were fired. One bullet hit him in the head and went right through. Two bullets hit his chest. He was also probably stabbed, as he had cuts on his hands, so he must have struggled a lot,” Faizan’s brother said.

During interrogation, the family revealed that Faizan had lent money to the father-son duo, who had previously visited their home to collect repayment. A heated argument reportedly escalated the situation. “We had previously filed a complaint at the Bhajanpura Police Station, but nothing was done till now,” his brother added.

Murder Case Registered Under IPC and Arms Act

The Delhi Police have registered a case against the suspects under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (Murder) and relevant sections of the Arms Act. Forensic experts are collecting evidence from the crime scene, which showed multiple gunshot wounds.

“A case under Section 302 IPC and Sections 25/27 of the Arms Act has been registered at PS Welcome. Police teams have been deployed to identify and arrest the accused involved in the crime. Further investigation is underway,” the police added.

The father-son duo is currently on the run, and police have deployed teams to track and apprehend the suspects.
